He was born in a poor neighberhood London  on the 16th of april  1889 

                                          He was England

His parents were actors in music-hall. His mother died of laryngeal disease and his father was alcoholic so his brothers went to orphanage

He rolled around 80 movies in his life 

              He was married 4 times and loved young wives.

 

Three of his children, Josephine, 

Sydney and Geraldine, also devoted theirlives to the show

His last child was born when he was 73 years old!
It is said that hitler took his mustache to gain popularity.

                                                                                         He was accused of being a communist.

His body was stolen from his grave
                                                He died on December 25, 1977, but a comedy legend was born!
